Apex.AI is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex software projects with the German Armed Forces, NATO-aligned public-sector defense organizations, and industrial partners across Europe. You will operate at the critical intersection of customer needs, technical sales, engineering teams, and external stakeholders—responsible for continuously defining and prioritizing project scope, translating operational requirements into technical feasibility, and maintaining delivery momentum across multiple organizations and geographies.
The role focuses on software-defined defense systems, command-and-control (C2), communications and intelligence (C4ISR), multi-domain operations (MDO), and autonomous systems. You will work on collaborative software development environments that strengthen European technological sovereignty and interoperability across allied defense ecosystems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end project lifecycle for defense and public-sector programs
- Aligning customer operational needs with engineering capabilities and timelines
- Coordinating across internal teams (engineering, sales, leadership) and external partners (government, NATO, industrial contractors)
- Identifying and mitigating technical and organizational risks
- Ensuring transparent communication and stakeholder alignment throughout project execution
- Supporting business expansion into NATO and allied European defense programs
The position is based in Munich with regular travel throughout Europe. You will report to leadership and work closely with senior technical and commercial teams.
