True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. Department of Defense and federal customers. The company operates mission-critical space and defense systems spanning on-orbit and ground segment infrastructure in a highly regulated, federal-authorization-first environment.
You will serve as Senior Technical Program Manager for the Government Security / Industrial Security (GOVSEC/INDSEC) portfolio, driving programs, authorization efforts, and cross-functional execution that keep True Anomaly's regulated workloads compliant and mission-ready. This is a hands-on, senior execution role operating independently across a broad portfolio while holding operationally busy teams to realistic commitments.
The role is matrixed: you report into the CISO organization's technical program management function (which sets program methodology and portfolio standards) while embedded within the GOVSEC/INDSEC team (which drives day-to-day work intake and priorities). You will partner primarily with the GOVSEC/INDSEC Director on program priorities and execution, coordinate day-to-day with the team's Manager and personnel, and interface directly with the VP on portfolio status, risk, and key trade-off decisions. You will also partner closely with cybersecurity engineering, GRC, IT program leadership, and cross-functional program delivery teams.
Key responsibilities include: end-to-end program management for GOVSEC/INDSEC initiatives using Jira and Confluence; driving schedule and delivery for ATO/RMF (Authorization to Operate / Risk Management Framework) efforts, tracking artifact production (SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs) and surfacing blockers; cross-functional coordination across security engineering, GRC, IT, and program teams; execution rigor across operational security disciplines (OPSEC, PERSEC, COMSEC); cadence and reporting calibrated for both engineering teams and executive/customer stakeholders; capacity and roadmap planning with explicit trade-offs; and capacity stewardship to maintain realistic commitments and surface contention early.
Required: 8+ years of technical program or project management with meaningful experience in federal, defense, or regulated environments; demonstrated track record owning complex programs end-to-end at senior level; core TPM craft at scale (structured intake, dependency management, schedule and risk management, program closure); technical judgment in security context with fluency in federal authorization and security engineering; ability to read substance of work, distinguish real blockers from soft ones, and pressure-test estimates; and comfort operating credibly across all organizational levels.
