Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for Quality to build and own the cost-of-quality systems for the Air Dominance and Strike Division's autonomous aircraft production at Arsenal 1 in Ohio. This is not a traditional quality engineering role—you will architect the mechanisms that connect incoming quality data, in-process defects, root cause analysis, and financial impact into a closed-loop system that drives program decisions.
You will own three critical pillars: (1) Cost-of-Poor-Quality (COPQ) financial narrative, making every defect, escape, and rework hour visible and actionable in dollars; (2) cross-team accountability, tracing defect patterns to source and ensuring corrective actions stick in cost and cycle time, not just defect counts; and (3) technical credibility in manufacturing processes, materials, and failure modes to challenge root cause analysis and validate fixes.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining cost-of-quality trending and closed-loop resolution metrics; driving cross-functional resolution across quality engineering, production, supply chain, and design; owning schedule and financial performance of quality-driven decisions; developing KPIs that connect operational quality metrics to program-level cost, schedule, and delivery; leveraging statistical process control and predictive modeling to identify patterns early; and preparing technical documentation and briefings for internal teams, customers, and government stakeholders.
You will maintain reproducible analysis pipelines using version control and scripting, and interface regularly with government quality oversight (DCMA). This role is critical to scaling production of a first-of-kind autonomous aircraft where quality is a cost lever, schedule lever, and credibility lever with the customer.
Required: 5+ years in technical program management, quality engineering, or quality systems in complex hardware production; demonstrated ability to build quality systems and COPQ frameworks from scratch; experience driving cross-functional quality issue resolution; technical depth in manufacturing processes; government quality oversight experience; comfort with quantitative modeling; familiarity with version control and reproducible analysis; and eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification; aerospace, defense, or autonomous systems production experience; proficiency with Palantir Foundry or statistical process control software; causal modeling or predictive analytics background; AS9100 experience; and experience scaling quality systems during production ramp.
