TENEX.AI is an AI-native, automation-first Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Crosspoint Capital Partners, Shield Capital, and others. The company is rapidly scaling its cybersecurity platform by combining frontier AI research with advanced threat detection and response capabilities.
As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will orchestrate the delivery of TENEX's most complex AI-native security initiatives. This is a strategic leadership role that bridges frontier AI research, infrastructure engineering, and security operations. You will drive cross-functional programs from concept through production deployment, ensuring alignment between AI research teams, engineering, and security detection teams to meet critical product milestones.
Key responsibilities include: leading end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs with accountability for critical product milestones; establishing and managing frameworks for scaling AI-driven security capabilities from prototype to production; proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks across distributed teams; defining program management best practices for AI projects while ensuring security, compliance, and performance standards; and bridging communication between highly technical AI researchers/engineers and executive stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into clear business outcomes.
You will need strong cybersecurity domain fluency (threat intelligence, SIEM/SOAR integration, SecOps workflows), 5+ years of technical program management experience with proven delivery of large-scale AI/ML initiatives, ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architectural decisions (particularly LLM deployment, model performance, data infrastructure), experience building scalable processes in high-growth startups, and exceptional cross-functional influence and communication skills.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related field, with CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications as a plus.
