New Relic is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives within the organization. This role sits at the intersection of product delivery, financial systems engineering, and SaaS operations, requiring someone who can drive technical projects from conception through delivery while managing intricate schedules, removing blockers, and maintaining process excellence.
Key responsibilities include: driving technical projects end-to-end with attention to complex scheduling and risk mitigation; identifying and operationalizing metrics and KPIs to track progress and resolve issues across the organization; creating processes that enhance organizational effectiveness in meeting business goals; fostering effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams with competing priorities; and facilitating productive meetings ranging from small working groups to large cross-functional forums.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience leading and delivering complex initiatives in product organizations within cross-functional, distributed environments. You'll have a proven track record delivering products on schedule in fast-paced, ambiguous settings, preferably in SaaS. Hands-on experience leading large-scale software development projects is essential. You're fluent in program management fundamentals—team building, DACI/RACI frameworks, risk management, work breakdown structures, resource management, and project tracking. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to use data to drive accountability across local and remote teams, are critical.
Bonus qualifications include a solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, a degree in computer science or related field, experience with financial and CRM systems, familiarity with Jira, and prior exposure to high-growth companies. This role offers the opportunity to shape how New Relic's engineering organization scales and delivers on strategic objectives in an AI-first observability platform.
