Firestorm is building the future of expeditionary defense manufacturing and autonomous systems. The company develops mission-adaptable aerial systems and deployable manufacturing infrastructure (xCell microfactory) designed to deliver capability directly to warfighters. Modern conflict has exposed a critical gap: systems needed most are often too expensive, too slow to produce, and difficult to sustain at scale. Firestorm solves this through rapidly deployable, adaptable, and producible defense systems. As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will oversee mission-critical aerospace and defense programs from concept through deployment. You'll manage end-to-end execution of complex projects, integrating technical, schedule, and cost objectives while leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, business development, and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include: creating and maintaining detailed program schedules, budgets, and resource plans for global programs; advocating for program resources and priority alignment; monitoring and reporting on program status with key metrics and milestones; proactively identifying and mitigating program risks; leading solution development for program issues; ensuring compliance with industry standards and DoD regulations; implementing variant management strategies; negotiating terms with Sales and Business Development; serving as primary coordination point between engineering, product, manufacturing, quality, and business teams; acting as primary customer contact for program reviews and communication; producing customer-facing documentation with Marketing and Sales; managing vendor contracts and agreements; coordinating product demonstrations and test events; and collaborating with Engineering to improve product offerings. You'll be based at headquarters in San Diego with occasional domestic travel (up to 10%) to engage with customers, vendors, and support program milestones. This role requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.
