Datadog is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the company's most technically complex and consequential cross-functional initiatives. TPMs at Datadog operate at the intersection of engineering depth and organizational reach, solving problems that span multiple teams and require deep technical judgment.
You will own large cross-functional programs spanning multiple engineering organizations, product, and business functions. Your responsibilities include proactively surfacing systemic risks, cross-pod dependencies, and organizational friction before they escalate. You'll build and maintain executive-level visibility through tracked KPIs on Datadog's highest-priority initiatives, using technical credibility and trusted relationships to bridge gaps between functions where misalignment is costly.
A core part of the role is engineering away repetitive work. You'll identify repeatable program archetypes and engineer their lifecycles end-to-end using AI solutions, with the goal of making programs largely self-executing. You'll build automation that reduces coordination overhead, freeing engineers and product managers to focus on work requiring human judgment. You'll contribute to the TPM toolkit, including AI-powered risk synthesis and dependency tracking systems.
The role requires technical depth, product domain expertise, and AI systems literacy—understanding how AI solutions work, where they fail, and the scope of those failures. You'll see what no single team can see and own the solution. You'll drive the company's most important bets through cross-functional agreement, organizational visibility, and influence.
Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace, valuing office culture for relationship-building and collaboration while enabling work-life harmony.
