As Senior Tax Manager, Provision and Compliance, you will lead Lambda's tax function with responsibility for quarterly and annual tax provision under ASC 740, tax accounting close processes, and timely data gathering and reporting. You will oversee federal, state, local, and international tax filings including foreign GAAP returns, and manage complex tax projects such as R&D tax credit analysis, Section 174 and Section 382 analyses. Additional responsibilities include preparing forecasted income taxes and cash tax payment analysis, managing income tax audits and responding to notices from tax authorities, assisting with transfer pricing implementation and tax planning strategies, and collaborating across the business to improve systems and processes. You will serve as a champion for tax across the organization and with leadership. This role requires presence in the San Jose or San Francisco office 4 days per week, with Tuesday designated as the work-from-home day. Lambda was founded in 2012 and now has 500+ employees. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA license required - 6+ years of related experience in public accounting or internal tax department of a US multi-state corporation - Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, SEC disclosure standards, and US GAAP - Strong knowledge of US and international sales and use tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to apply rules to practical scenarios - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders - High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity NICE TO HAVE: - Experience in machine learning or computer hardware industry - NetSuite or other large ERP system experience and Avalara - MS in Tax
