AeroVect is a Series A autonomous vehicle company transforming ground handling operations at airports globally. We are seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to lead verification and validation (V&V) activities for our autonomous ground support equipment (AGSE) and self-driving vehicles operating in airport environments.
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Systems to drive comprehensive testing of safety-critical autonomous systems. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed test plans and protocols that evaluate AV system performance across the operational design domain (ODD), including edge-case scenarios. You will oversee both manual and automated test execution in closed-course and live operational environments, operating autonomous vehicles in various driving modes while ensuring safety and compliance.
You will collect and analyze diagnostic data from multiple sensor streams (LiDAR, radar, camera, GPS) to verify system performance and identify issues. Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll work with autonomy, hardware, and software teams to report issues, identify root causes, validate fixes, and close feedback loops. You will build and maintain test automation scripts, tools for report generation, and regression tracking systems to support continuous validation. Additionally, you'll participate in triage sessions, contribute to release-readiness assessments and root cause analysis efforts, and mentor other engineers in test-driven development practices.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced startup environment requiring deep engagement with distributed, multidisciplinary teams and a willingness to travel up to 25% for testing activities.
