Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the energy and compute foundation for the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The company owns and operates every layer of the stack—from power generation to cloud services—to solve the energy bottleneck constraining AI scaling. As Senior Systems Engineer for IAM Operations, you will own the day-to-day identity and access management infrastructure at Crusoe, serving as the technical authority on Okta ecosystem operations and user lifecycle management. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant operational scope and escalation responsibility. Key responsibilities include: end-to-end user lifecycle management in Okta (onboarding, offboarding, hires, rehires, contractor conversions); administration of core SaaS applications (Slack, Google Workspace, Claude, DocuSign) with focus on provisioning, RBAC, and license optimization; building access request workflows and approval automations in governance platforms (Lumos) to enforce least-privilege principles; designing and executing periodic user access reviews and entitlement certifications for compliance; administering Okta security features including FastPass MFA and device trust; building automations using Okta Workflows and custom SCIM solutions; training and mentoring Service Desk team members on IAM best practices; acting as Tier 2 escalation point for complex access and authentication issues; partnering with API and engineering teams to define automation requirements; troubleshooting authentication failures and access incidents using REST APIs and scripting; and documenting SOPs and runbooks to maintain operational consistency. You will need 5+ years in Systems Engineering, IT Operations, or IAM with hands-on Okta administration experience. Required skills include identity governance platform experience (Lumos, Okta Identity Governance), user lifecycle automation, deep Okta security feature knowledge, SCIM provisioning, no-code/low-code automation tools (Okta Workflows), troubleshooting across authentication and REST APIs, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and multi-platform enterprise environment support (Google Workspace, Slack). Bonus qualifications include identity governance platform exposure, OIDC/SAML application integration experience, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience, and Okta certifications.
