Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company supplying critical minerals for modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. They are reimagining the minerals supply chain through advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
This Senior Systems Administrator role is a foundational, builder-oriented position that takes primary ownership of hands-on systems administration, infrastructure implementation, and day-to-day user support across corporate, field, and industrial sites. The role frees the Senior IT Manager to focus on architecture, budget, and cross-organizational strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and centralized authentication/SSO across corporate and field sites
- Owning the technical layer of SharePoint including permissions, architecture, and governance
- Managing user access, device provisioning, and onboarding/offboarding coordination with HR
- Maintaining software and SaaS license management, renewals, entitlements, and cost optimization
- Establishing end-to-end hardware lifecycle management across offices, pilot facilities, and field sites
- Configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks in a multi-site environment
- Building and documenting backup/disaster recovery plans, security controls, vulnerability management, incident response, and change management processes
- Coordinating managed service providers and consultants
- Serving as primary escalation point for complex user and site support issues
- Developing help desk processes, documentation, and SLAs
- Mentoring junior IT staff and building technical documentation
The role requires approximately 25% travel to other offices and project sites. Core infrastructure capabilities are still being established, so this is a builder role rather than purely operational. Close coordination with Controls/OT engineering, Software Engineering, HR, and on-site stakeholders is essential.
