As a Senior Support Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of customer success, owning the end-to-end support experience for Eon's product.
You'll troubleshoot complex customer issues using logs, networking, and system administration expertise, identifying when escalation to product or engineering teams is needed. A key part of your role is designing and implementing automation solutions that scale the support organization—this means writing code and scripts in languages like Go, Python, or JavaScript to reduce manual work and improve response times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and resolving customer technical issues with collaboration and transparency
- Troubleshooting using best practices across logs, networking, and system administration
- Creating and maintaining incident management requests to product/engineering teams
- Designing automation and scaling solutions through coding and scripting
- Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend coverage
- Identifying cases requiring technical or strategic escalation
You'll need 5+ years of hands-on technical support, system administration, or customer-facing technical experience. Cloud expertise is essential (Azure, AWS, or GCP with 2+ years experience), along with proficiency in reading/debugging code, command-line tools, and Linux environments. DevOps technologies, REST APIs/GraphQL, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, load balancing), relational databases, and cloud security (IAM roles) are all part of the toolkit.
The role requires working 9-6 EST and includes equity (RSUs), 401k match, paid parental leave, comprehensive health benefits, and a vibrant culture with office perks for in-office employees and home office setup for remote staff.
