Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to support the manufacturing and delivery of the ALTIUS family of air-launched effects systems. This role bridges cutting-edge R&D and high-rate production for precision-engineered autonomous aerial systems used by the U.S. military and allies.
You will define, develop, and execute supplier quality processes that ensure high-quality, reliable precision machined parts for missile and high-speed aircraft programs. Working across internal design teams and external suppliers, you'll drive early engagement to meet quality requirements from the outset, focusing on clarity, accountability, and world-class results across the supply chain.
Key responsibilities include partnering with design teams on design for manufacturability feedback and product data generation; leveraging expertise in machining, molding, additive manufacturing, fabrication, and inspection to support design development and volume production scaling; driving supplier quality development through design reviews, process development, testing, and qualification activities; managing supplier technical performance and exceptions during development and production phases; developing measurement systems and supplier qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, audits); collaborating with sourcing, category management, and program management on supply predictability; eliminating supplier risk through audits, readiness reviews, and training; and supporting root cause analysis and material review board activities.
The role requires hands-on collaboration with engineering, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply management, supplier development, sub-system performance criteria, metrology, and continuous improvement methodologies. You will be accountable for delivering world-class quality processes and measurable results.
Note: Position is permanently based in Ashville, OH. Candidates must temporarily relocate for a 3-month comprehensive training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by approximately 2 months in Atlanta, GA. Anduril provides full corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during training.
