Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer to lead mechanical fabrication supplier strategy and execution across the company's defense technology product lines. This high-visibility, cross-functional role bridges internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams while working directly with suppliers to solve critical production challenges.
You will own mechanical fabrication commodities and subcategories, executing supplier production strategies from new product introduction through full-scale manufacturing. Key responsibilities include vetting supplier production capabilities and facilities for approved supplier list inclusion, supporting supplier quality engineers in ensuring adherence to quality criteria, and managing the bring-up of new production tooling and lines at supplier sites.
You'll drive capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up, establish statistical process control reviews, and identify opportunities for product and process improvements to reduce cost, supply risk, and defects while improving cycle time. The role requires embedding on-site with suppliers and internal teams, traveling approximately 60% of the time to key manufacturing locations.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field, plus 6+ years of supplier quality and industrialization experience in manufacturing environments. Technical expertise in mechanical fabrication, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T is essential. Ability to travel extensively and relocate to Costa Mesa is required.
Preferred qualifications include a mechanical or materials engineering degree, prior defense/aerospace/automotive/high-tech industry experience, strong quality systems knowledge, familiarity with high-mix low-volume product development, startup environment exposure, and ability to obtain a U.S. TS security clearance.
