Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer to join the Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team in Huntsville, Alabama. This high-profile, cross-functional role is central to enabling the development and production flow of Anduril's critical supply base, working at the intersection of engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing.
You will own and manage mechanical commodities (machining, stamping, etc.) across Anduril's business lines, executing supplier production strategies from new product introduction through full production. Key responsibilities include vetting suppliers' production capabilities and facilities for inclusion in Anduril's Approved Supplier List, supporting Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring adherence to part quality criteria, and owning manufacturing process development at supplier locations.
You will manage the initialization of new production lines and tooling at supplier sites, ensuring materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality, and production rate requirements. You'll own the roadmap for capacity expansion, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp-up, establish and drive performance via statistical process control reviews, and identify opportunities for product and process improvements, factory layout optimization, and cost reduction.
The role requires close coordination with internal teams and direct engagement with suppliers to execute effective supply chain strategies. You'll support root cause analysis task forces and be responsible for closing the loop on corrective and preventative actions at supplier sites.
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 6+ years of supplier quality and industrialization experience in manufacturing; technical expertise in composites, thermoplastics, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T; ability to travel 50%+ and relocate to Huntsville; U.S. security clearance eligibility.
Preferred: Mechanical or materials engineering degree; defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industry experience; strong quality systems knowledge; high-mix, low-volume product development experience; startup environment exposure.
