Clutch is Canada's largest online used car retailer on a mission to reinvent how people buy, sell, and own cars. The company has grown rapidly since 2017, backed by top-tier investors including D1 Capital and Canaan, and has been recognized on the Globe & Mail's Top Growing Companies list five years running and Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 and Fast 500 lists. The wholesale and remarketing operation has scaled dramatically—from ~200 vehicles monthly three years ago to 3,000+ today across auction, dealer-direct, and export channels in Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia—with plans to double again. You'll join as Senior Strategy & Operations Manager reporting to the Director of Wholesale, owning decisions with real P&L consequences that shape the next chapter of growth. Key responsibilities include: building and running the reporting and analytics layer for the wholesale business, turning data into executive decisions and defining the metrics leadership uses to evaluate the channel; designing data-driven routing models across auctions, direct sales, and export to maximize revenue per vehicle (small percentage gains translate to millions annually); driving down cycle time across transport, operations, and sales as volumes scale by identifying and fixing bottlenecks; evaluating and standing up new disposition channels with supporting infrastructure, real estate, systems, and partnerships; owning the business review cadence, OKR tracking, and performance reporting to leadership; and leading cross-functional special projects from ideation through execution across Supply, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. You'll work directly with the Director of Wholesale, and your analysis will inform executive-level strategic bets. This is a hands-on role—you'll spend real time in operations, not just modeling from a desk. You'll be measured on outcomes and impact, not activity. Required: 7+ years in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or BizOps/strategic finance at a high-growth company. You need sharp analytical instincts, an AI-native mindset (using AI tools as default leverage), a bias toward action with zero ego about getting hands dirty, a track record of owning ambiguous cross-functional problems end-to-end, ambition to grow into leadership with strong EQ, and willingness to work from downtown Toronto headquarters (60 Adelaide St). Interest in cars, auctions, or the auto industry is a bonus but not required.
