Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, PCB/PCBA to serve as the domain expert for printed circuit board and printed circuit board assembly commodities. This is a high-impact role focused on securing critical components, materials, and services that power Anduril's defense technology products.
You will develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies for PCB/PCBA and subassemblies, with end-to-end responsibility for delivering quality parts at the right cost and timeline. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop commodity strategies focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes for PCB/PCBA and subassemblies
- Own business relationships with external Contract Manufacturers, managing continuity of supply, risk, cost negotiations, and NPI to MP execution
- Partner with Engineering teams and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specs and customize manufacturing requirements
- Perform detailed cost analysis of quote submissions, conducting deep dives into supply chain elements and making data-driven TCO decisions
- Support prototype requirements, execute against build milestones, and lead sourcing activities across cross-functional teams
- Influence Contract Manufacturers' processes, CapEx, and technology decisions
- Negotiate key supplier agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms
- Provide technical direction within commodities, evaluating and guiding product strategy throughout the lifecycle
- Manage operations efforts for developing new and adapted technologies
- Develop and execute commercial agreements reflecting project expectations including fixed/variable costs, lead-times, and manufacturing capacities
- Conduct regular technology reviews to executive staff
- Own supplier performance management including delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics
- Act as primary escalation point for respective commodities
This role requires broad internal cross-functional partnership to evaluate supplier opportunities while ensuring commercial agreements, intellectual property, and statements of work are accurate and well-established prior to implementation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain category management of printed circuit board assembly and electronics manufacturing, and/or sourcing engineering
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local; onsite presence required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry
- Well-versed in TCO analysis for data-driven analytics tied to component and supplier selection in product-based ecosystems
- Strategic thinking with experience developing commodities strategy/roadmap with key engineering stakeholders
- Proven leadership in driving and influencing other teams toward common goals with strong cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Ability to wear multiple hats and function as a strong team player
- Fluency in cross-functional areas to fill gaps and remove roadblocks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
