Steno is a fast-growing legal tech company revolutionizing the court reporting industry. We're seeking a Senior Strategic Operations Manager to join our operations team as both a data analyst and hands-on operator driving operational excellence.
You will work closely with the Associate Director of Operations to uncover valuable data insights and lead cross-functional projects that transform those insights into actionable business improvements. The role begins with a secondment embedded in a single business unit, where you'll run day-to-day operations, improve processes, and answer key strategic questions. After this initial period, you'll help shape your path forward—going deep in core operational areas like Provider Operations or Production, staying with the business unit as it scales, or flexing across Steno on whatever is most urgent.
On a regular basis, you will immerse yourself in data to uncover insights that drive strategic decisions and proactively investigate operational trends. You'll develop and maintain dashboards that tell meaningful stories about operational performance, conduct deep-dive analyses that answer critical business questions and reveal optimization opportunities, and lead and manage complex operational projects from conception through completion.
You pair analytical rigor with a willingness to do the work directly. You're equally comfortable handling time-sensitive requests from external partners, writing SQL queries, improving processes, and walking cross-functional stakeholders through analysis—often in the same afternoon. This is a full-time, exempt position offering salary, benefits, PTO, and equity.
