IonQ is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional quantum sensing programs across the complete product lifecycle—from early technology development and new product introduction through production ramp, sustainment, and eventual retirement. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, product, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, business development, and customer-facing teams. Key responsibilities include: • End-to-End Program Execution: Lead the full technical lifecycle for complex quantum programs from technology maturation and R&D through production, customer delivery, and field sustainment. • Integrated Strategic Planning: Build and own the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and execution plans that synchronize engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality requirements. • New Product & Technology Introduction (NPI/NTI): Drive the transition of quantum technologies from prototype to production, ensuring manufacturing readiness, site requirements, and scalable handoffs. • Financial & Resource Stewardship: Manage programmatic labor and non-labor financials, create data-driven analysis that informs strategic and tactical business decisions at portfolio level. • Cross-Functional Leadership: Shape and execute program strategy, support federal and commercial proposals, drive execution, and ensure programs meet technical requirements, contractual milestones, and customer expectations. • Operational Discipline: Ensure programs scale effectively into production, deliver strong business outcomes, and maintain operational rigor throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has successfully taken complex hardware/software systems from concept and prototype through production, customer deployment, operational sustainment, and eventual transition or retirement. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring deep technical acumen, program management expertise, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries. Up to 25% domestic travel required.
