Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the company's Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) migration program—a critical, company-wide initiative to ensure cryptographic readiness ahead of Q-Day (end of 2028). This is a highly technical, strategic role requiring deep expertise in both program management and cryptographic fundamentals.
You will drive end-to-end execution of the PQC program, from cryptographic asset inventory and risk prioritization through migration execution. Key responsibilities include: establishing and owning a cross-functional PQC working group spanning XRPL Core, Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, Platform, and InfoSec; aligning vendors and partners (custody providers, exchanges, payment processors, HSM vendors) on compatible PQC roadmaps; identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and obstacles; communicating program status, risk, and progress to engineering leadership and executive sponsors; creating technical decision-making frameworks for engineering teams; and building migration-progress, risk-register, and readiness dashboards.
You will partner closely with InfoSec on high-level strategy while maintaining hands-on involvement to push initiatives forward. This role requires synthesizing business and technical requirements across asymmetric ciphers, symmetric ciphers, hashing functions, and digital signatures. You will influence operational excellence processes org-wide, coordinate testing and release dependencies across teams, and serve as a role model and inspiring leader for other TPMs.
Required: 10+ years of program management experience in sophisticated enterprise tech environments, working cross-functionally. You must have solid understanding of cryptographic fundamentals (asymmetric/symmetric ciphers, hashing, digital signatures) sufficient to synthesize technical tradeoffs with engineering and InfoSec stakeholders. Strong plus: prior exposure to PQC, cryptographic migrations, or security/compliance-driven technical programs. Additional requirements: ability to use data and analytics to assess project health; multi-functional coordination and consensus-building skills; influence without authority in matrixed environments; proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Google Sheets; experience architecting new and existing systems; experience in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, and/or Blockchain ecosystems.
