Altana is seeking a Senior Staff Implementation Delivery Manager to serve as the single-threaded technical owner of delivery for strategic public sector accounts. You will lead a small, account-aligned implementation pod and be accountable for turning closed-won accounts into mission outcomes—architecting deployments in secured and regulated environments, delivering on contractual commitments, and identifying expansion opportunities.
You will blend enterprise architecture, hands-on deployment, and product design with relationship skills to be the trusted technical voice for mission owners. Working hip-to-hip with Technical Account Managers and Program Managers, you will use delivery credibility to enable organic growth without carrying a commercial number yourself.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning delivery outcomes for named strategic accounts from post-award through sustainment, serving as the single-threaded technical owner for implementation and platform delivery
- Setting and stewarding account architecture by translating mission outcomes into coherent enterprise/solution architecture across SaaS and regulated PaaS environments
- Personally architecting, deploying, and designing first-draft capabilities and integrations where the product doesn't yet meet mission needs, feeding working prototypes back to Product and Engineering
- Leading the account implementation pod by directing Implementation Delivery Specialists, integration engineers, and matrixed resources; prioritizing ruthlessly and removing blockers
- Building durable relationships with customer architects, engineering leaders, and senior decision-makers as the credible technical presence that de-risks delivery
- Enabling inside sales by converting delivery trust into qualified pipeline of upsells and expansions, working alongside commercial teams
- Providing technical scoping, level-of-effort, and solution design during pre-sales and capture to ensure delivery inherits proper context
- Owning technical health, support obligations, system performance, and incident response across the full lifecycle
- Ensuring deployments satisfy security and compliance requirements in regulated environments (FedRAMP, DoD IL5, mission-specific enclaves)
- Closing the field-to-product loop by ensuring account learnings translate into clearly-framed, prioritized product asks
Requirements:
- 10+ years of technical experience spanning enterprise/solution architecture, hands-on deployment, and product design and development in data-intensive or software fields
- Track record leading complex, customer-facing software deployments end-to-end, ideally on-premise or in secured/regulated environments, with ownership of delivery outcomes against firm commitments
- Enterprise and solution architecture depth across cloud (AWS or Azure, GovCloud and regulated environments preferred), data engineering (Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks), complex system integrations (REST APIs, SSO/SAML), and containerized deployments (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Ability to be the trusted technical voice with senior customer stakeholders and translate between mission owners, engineers, and commercial teams
- Demonstrated ability to spot and shape expansion opportunities, working with commercial counterparts to grow accounts through delivered value
- Experience working with sensitive data and navigating complex, highly regulated technology organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet Public Trust eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Availability to work on-site in DC/Virginia/Maryland area for U.S. Federal accounts
Nice to have:
- Exposure to trade compliance, supply chain management, shipping/logistics, or international commerce
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, DoD IL5, or government-managed/accredited environments
- People-management experience leading small technical delivery teams
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs and ML toolsets (Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, Dedupe)
- Eligibility for TS/SCI clearance
