Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Specialist, Process Improvement to join the Authorization Services Process Improvement team. In this role, you will partner with business and technical teams across Oscar to identify, design, and implement process improvements that support organizational goals. You will report to the Manager of Process Improvements and work independently to represent your team's needs within broader company-wide strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying risks and resolving issues through investigation to inform short, medium, and long-term technology-enabled solutions
- Coordinating projects to ensure milestones and service levels are met
- Partnering with leadership to develop strategies that lower costs or improve outcomes
- Supporting change management and risk mitigation programs across relevant teams
- Translating data analysis into clear, visually compelling insights for stakeholders
- Providing analytical support to identify opportunities and prioritize projects based on organizational growth targets
- Implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and performance
You will need 2+ years of professional experience in project management and process improvement, with demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and present recommendations to senior leadership. Experience in prior authorizations, insurance operations, healthcare quality, or Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Linear, and Slack is valued.
