Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to work with the sales team and channel partners in the Retail & Consumer Goods vertical. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, strategizing on sales cycles, delivering compelling value-based demonstrations, supporting enterprise Proof of Concepts, and closing large deals. This is a remote role with approximately 25-30% travel.
In this role, you will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. You'll work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from initial demo through proof of concept to design and implementation. You will maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, positioning Snowflake effectively in the market. You'll also collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences (whiteboard, presentations, demos)
- Proactive curiosity for the AI landscape; ability to be a visionary and technical thought partner for customers
- Proven ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity and efficiency
- Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
- Ability to connect customer business problems to Snowflake solutions
- Ability to conduct deep discovery of customer architecture and connect with Snowflake Data Architecture
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience); Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus
- Experience with Global System Integrators (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) is beneficial but not required
- Flexibility and willingness to travel approximately 30%
