JustPark is a unified parking platform combining ParkHub (US event parking) and JustPark (UK consumer parking) to serve both B2B venue/council operations and B2C drivers. The company operates at major venues including Mercedes Benz Stadium, The Greek Theatre, and The O2 Arena. You'll join the Reporting team as a Senior Software Engineer, owning meaningful pieces of the data platform and reporting products that power venue operations. This is a hands-on role spanning design through production, including live event day support. The team is scaling internationally post-merger, tackling distributed systems challenges at the intersection of payments, data, and real-time event operations. Key responsibilities include: - Design, build, and ship backend services and streaming data pipelines in Go at production scale - Own data end-to-end: event schema design, durable messaging patterns, read models, and warehouse tables for analytics - Build financial data flows including payment processor ingestion, fee reconciliation, and ledger-backed reporting - Ingest and reconcile third-party data (partner files, payment APIs) with idempotent, replayable backfills - Develop and evolve API and GraphQL serving layers for internal and external products - Migrate existing reporting paths to the new architecture - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and developer tooling - Collaborate across time zones with Product, QA, and UK engineering/data teams on shared data models - Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as core workflow - Own features vertically: backend-first, with ability to extend into React frontends when needed - Mentor junior developers on the team The engineering culture is AI-native; engineers use Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor daily for code generation, review, debugging, and documentation. The team builds MCP integrations connecting AI tools directly to Jira, Confluence, Slack, and internal APIs. REQUIREMENTS: - US-based, ideally within commuting distance of Dallas-Fort Worth - Bachelor's in CS/SE or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years of professional backend engineering with strong recent Go experience - Deep SQL and data modeling skills; experience designing schemas for analytics/reporting workloads (not just CRUD); comfortable operating production databases (locking, connection behavior, query performance, zero-downtime migrations) - Experience with large datasets; strong understanding of OLAP/OLTP paradigms and when to use each - Experience building event-driven or streaming data systems (durable messaging, change data capture, delivery guarantees, replayability, failure modes) - Experience with payment processor systems and financial data (ingestion and reconciliation) - Hands-on data warehouse experience (BigQuery or similar) and warehouse transformation tooling (dbt or similar) - Deep AWS experience (EKS, Kinesis, RDS, S3, IAM) and BigQuery on GCP - GraphQL and API design experience for data-heavy products, including client-facing data access control - Kubernetes experience (EKS/GKE) and CI/CD tooling proficiency (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) - Solid testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end - Comfortable with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor); expected to leverage daily as core workflow - Clear communication skills, especially async (PRs, design docs, Slack) - Ability to own problems end-to-end from ambiguous ask to shipped design, working with senior engineers and principal engineers Nice-to-have: schema/data contract tooling, typed event design (Protobuf), MCP server building, AI-augmented internal tooling, multilingual engineering (TypeScript/Node), quantitative data quality/statistical thinking/anomaly detection, parking/mobility/ticketing/live events sector experience.
