Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Azure Integrations team, which focuses on building integrations with Microsoft's Azure AD Identity Platform (Entra ID, MSGraph, etc.). This is a hybrid role based in the Bangalore office with a minimum of 2 days per week in-office.
You will work on large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced agile environment. The team values automated testing, iterative development, and high-quality enterprise software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the Azure Integrations codebase, development process (Jira, technical designs, code review, testing, deployment)
- Analyzing and refining requirements with product management and stakeholders
- Handling incoming bugs and customer-reported issues
- Scoping and planning engineering efforts with various stakeholders
- Designing and implementing high-performance, distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software components
- Actively participating in pull request reviews
- Mentoring junior team members
- Collaborating across QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation, TPM, and UX
- Owning features and systems, defining their long-term health, observability, and reliability metrics
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software
- Experience with systems of scale (monolithic applications to microservices)
- Server-side technology expertise including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading (Java, Spring, Hibernate, Redis)
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and people of various backgrounds
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Graph APIs and identity APIs
- Modern front-end development experience (ReactJS)
