Salary: CAD 153,815 - 277,431 / annual
Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Email team, which owns the core infrastructure responsible for delivering billions of personalized emails monthly to customers' end users and processing all associated reporting data. The team builds and maintains a highly parallelized platform for email personalization and sending at scale, REST APIs for managing and tracking user subscriptions, web pages for end-user preference self-management, and dashboards for configuring customer email domains.
In this role, you will collaborate with teammates to build new features, improve system performance, and provide guidance on key architectural decisions. You will tackle significant engineering challenges, including architecting new iterations of critical system components and optimizing systems for resilience as they scale. The team values engineers who help elevate the technical capabilities of their peers and are eager to learn from diverse perspectives.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in team environments

- Professional experience building software at scale
- Professional experience with Ruby, Go, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Experience with MongoDB or Postgres
