As a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack on Team Green, you will be a core contributor to Matillion's product development. You'll work within a small, cross-functional development team responsible for specific themes and initiatives, writing, testing, and releasing new features while fixing production issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing production services and applications using Java, Spring, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Owning your workflow from code writing and unit testing through production release and ongoing maintenance
- Participating in code reviews and research projects exploring new technologies and future opportunities
- Contributing to team domain understanding and architecture decisions to manage risk and improve ways of working
- Mentoring and developing technical and interpersonal skills through collaboration
The tech stack includes Java, Spring, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, DynamoDB, SpiceDB, SQL, Kafka, RESTful services, and cloud platforms. The team uses Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD tooling.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient coding in Java and React with strong understanding of object-oriented programming, programming concepts, and best practices (style guidelines, testability, efficiency, observability, scalability, security)
- Experience implementing Java Spring microservices using container technologies (Docker) and relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Background in full software development lifecycle from design to deployment via CI/CD tooling, using Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, with strong preference for AWS
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to solve business goals and adapt to different technical challenges
- Good understanding of testing (PACT, integration, end-to-end) and familiarity with Cypress
