Salary: USD 175,000 - 210,000 / annual
Curai Health is transforming healthcare by combining artificial intelligence with clinical expertise to make care more affordable, accessible, and effective. We're seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to drive high-leverage projects across our platform.
In this role, you'll work across the full stack—from frontend React applications to Python backend services—owning features from concept through delivery and iteration. You'll collaborate with a diverse team including software engineers, ML researchers, physicians, product managers, and UX researchers to build user-facing features and establish consistent APIs across services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving high-leverage projects from concept to completion
- Up-leveling the team through mentorship in areas like API design, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, or healthcare data
- Developing and updating user-facing features with React
- Collaborating with backend engineers on API design and frontend patterns
- Leading cross-team architectural decisions for applications
- Producing technical specifications and documentation
- Writing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Working with product owners, ML researchers, and stakeholders using Agile practices
You'll work in a mission-driven environment with a 100% remote setup (US-based, work performed within the United States). The role requires reliable internet and a secure home office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- 5-7 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer, owning features end-to-end
- Professional experience with React (components, hooks, state management, performance)
- Python backend experience, ideally with async frameworks (FastAPI, Starlette)
- Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases (DynamoDB, Postgres); understanding of access pattern modeling
- Comfort with asynchronous workflows (background jobs, retries, idempotency, eventual consistency)
- Demonstrated ability to raise product excellence through testing (e2e coverage, visual regression testing, CI/CD for frequent deployments)
- Understanding of AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services
NICE TO HAVE:
- React Native / Expo or cross-platform mobile experience
- Visual/snapshot regression testing, Storybook, harness engineering
- Design systems / component library experience
- Accessibility expertise (WCAG, screen readers)
- LLM application experience (streaming, tool calling, eval-driven iteration)
- Temporal or durable execution systems
- Healthcare data experience (CDA/CCD/FHIR)
