Salary: USD 243,290 - 295,250 / annual
Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Creator Collaboration team. In this role, you will design and build services that enable creators to collaborate in real time, and increasingly, to work alongside AI agents. You'll own the Creation Platform—the APIs and services that power external agents through MCP (Model Context Protocol), Build on Roblox, and other agentic products. Your work will address challenges in scale, architecture, and design to support larger teams of developers, artists, and AI agents collaborating together.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the needs of Roblox's creator community, from beginning artists to professional scripters and designers
- Taking ownership of designing, building, testing, and deploying services within the Roblox ecosystem
- Owning the Creation Platform that powers agentic products, including APIs and services that agents access through MCP
- Serving as a technical bar-raiser for code quality, architectural design, and long-term planning; mentoring fellow engineers

The team operates on a hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience shipping high-complexity code
- Experience architecting, designing, and leading implementation of a wide array of software products
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications at scale
- Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, Python, or similar programming languages
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases at scale
- Ability to design platforms and APIs that other products and AI agents build on top of
- Familiarity with agentic systems, harnesses, and models
- Familiarity with MCP or similar agent tooling is a plus
- Understanding of components required to build modern large-scale infrastructure; ability to recommend architectural approaches and build consensus among engineers
