Salary: EUR 67,500 - 94,000 / annual
Algolia is the retrieval intelligence layer powering over 1.7 trillion queries annually for 18,000+ customers. The Connectors Platform Team builds and scales the services that bring customer data into Algolia reliably, securely, and at scale.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will design, build, and scale distributed data ingestion services serving thousands of global businesses. Your work will span multiple domains:
• E-commerce integrations: real-time connections with Shopify, Commercetools, BigCommerce
• Data connectivity: integrations with JSON, BigQuery, Supabase, MySQL, and other data sources
• Data transformations: enabling customers to transform data as it flows into Algolia
• AI enrichment pipelines: enhancing data to improve search relevance
You will drive improvements to system reliability, scalability, and throughput while championing engineering excellence in testing, observability, and performance. You'll mentor teammates and help evolve the engineering culture as the company grows.
The team operates on Go, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud with an engineering culture built around reliability, performance, and simplicity.
Algolia offers a flexible workplace model emphasizing impact and contribution over physical location. While this role is based in Paris, the company has offices in NYC, London, Sydney, and Bucharest, with many team members working remotely or hybrid.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience building and operating high-traffic production systems in Go
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud
• Demonstrated ability to design resilient systems handling high-traffic workloads
• Commitment to writing high-quality, tested, maintainable code
• Clear communication and collaborative skills in English
