Zynga, a global leader in interactive entertainment and a label of Take-Two Interactive, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop new and innovative features for games played by millions of players worldwide. The company's portfolio includes FarmVille, Words With Friends, Zynga Poker, Game of Thrones Slots Casino, Wizard of Oz Slots, Toon Blast, Empires & Puzzles, Merge Dragons, CSR Racing, and many others, with over 6 billion downloads across 175+ countries.
In this role, you will develop features using Java, C#, C++, Python, and JavaScript, following engineering best practices to ensure performance, reliability, and measurability. You will break down large problems for implementation by other engineers, perform design and code reviews, and take responsibility for live game health. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, artists, and QA teams in an agile environment, and constantly seek opportunities to improve game performance. You will also take a hands-on approach to rapid prototype development.
You will demonstrate strong analytical, programming, and debugging skills, with the ability to work on complex technical challenges in a fast-paced gaming environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 4–8 years of professional experience with C#, C++, JavaScript, Android, iOS, React, or Java
- Solid fundamental programming skills including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, operating systems, networking, and AWS Cloud
- Experience with source control management and code review practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment
