Tipalti is an AI-powered finance automation platform serving mid-market businesses globally. You will join the funds flow group as a Senior Software Engineer (80% backend focus) to own mission-critical domains powering high-scale financial workflows. This role sits within an AI-native feature factory where AI is treated as a core part of design, build, test, and ship processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build scalable, high-performance microservices in a complex, high-volume financial production environment
- Own critical components end-to-end and architect systems that perform under load and support future scale
- Lead technical design discussions and influence architectural decisions
- Drive spec-driven development with SOLID principles and proven design patterns
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code with strong emphasis on unit and integration testing
- Improve production quality, observability, and reliability standards
- Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
- Lead and mentor engineers, setting high engineering standards
- Push the frontier of AI-assisted development—using AI tools hands-on across design, coding, testing, and review
You will design and evolve systems that hold and move every dollar on the platform: virtual and physical account balances, internal funds transfers, and bank reconciliation. You'll build event-driven .NET services where correctness, idempotency, and auditability are paramount.
The Tel Aviv office operates on a hybrid model: 2 days work-from-home, 3 days in the North Tel Aviv office. Shuttle services, parking, and snacks are provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong backend experience in C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core)
- Hands-on experience with both relational and document stores (SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience building event-driven microservices with a message broker (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Strong knowledge of OOP design and SOLID principles
- Active, hands-on user of AI coding tools and AI-driven workflows
- Strong ownership mindset; finishes what they start, leaves no loose ends
- Critical thinker who challenges the status quo and brings innovative ideas
- Proactive self-starter who pursues answers and solutions independently
- Collaborative across disciplines, unblocking others and sharing knowledge
- Growth mindset, always learning and sharpening their craft

- Familiarity with Redis is a plus
- Frontend experience with Vue 3 and TypeScript is a plus
