Salary: USD 143,200 - 243,400 / annual
ServiceNow is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to build enterprise-grade systems that integrate AI/ML concepts into large-scale, conversational platforms. You will design and implement highly interactive, scalable applications that support rich conversational experiences blended with artificial intelligence.
In this role, you will:
- Build highly interactive applications that scale with application complexity
- Create tools, libraries, and frameworks for other developers to build upon, applying new technology and innovation to improve platform functionality with AI/ML
- Write high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture, code reviews, and unit testing
- Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and own code from design to delivery
- Design software that is simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite
- Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing
You will work with experienced co-workers to evolve the technology stack and build modern conversational experiences for customers. The role requires a solid understanding of building amazing, performant, and scalable user interfaces and servers with large-scale data, an obsession with design aesthetics, and a commitment to engineering excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of software industry experience (for Bachelor's degree holders)
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- Significant experience designing and implementing highly interactive and high-volume applications
- Expertise in backend technologies: Java, JUnit, REST, JSON, AI/ML and associated concepts
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
- Frontend technologies: solid JavaScript experience along with Python and AI/ML concepts
- Competence in design, usability, and scalability aspects
- Experience in ML/Natural Language systems and Large Language Models, including applications in conversational AI and natural language processing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
