Salary: GBP 80,000 - 100,000 / annual
Join Platformed as a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the CTO. You'll be a hands-on full-stack engineer building a B2B SaaS application using React, TypeScript, and Rust on Google Cloud with Postgres. As part of a small, growing engineering team alongside founders and experienced engineers who have scaled products from zero to exit, you'll own features end-to-end—from frontend and backend development to cloud deployment and system architecture decisions.
You'll have significant influence over product direction and business priorities, not just implementation. Beyond coding, you'll engage directly with customers, support the sales team with demos, and help shape the product roadmap. The role requires comfort working across the full stack, with particular strength in backend development using Rust.
The team operates in a fast-paced, less structured environment where you'll need to confidently identify and prioritize the most impactful work. You'll be expected to balance shipping quickly with building high-quality software, understanding trade-offs in a growing business context.
Office presence is required Mondays and Tuesdays at the Central London office (next to Victoria station). Wednesdays through Fridays are flexible—work from home or office as you prefer. Standard hours are 9am–6pm with flexibility; occasional late work or weekend hours occur to meet deadlines but are exceptions. The company prioritizes sustainability and encourages full use of 33 days annual leave (including public holidays) plus a monthly Friday off.
Compensation includes generous equity options. Monthly team socials with a generous budget are part of the culture.
Interview process: 30-minute initial call, take-home task, half-day on-site final interviews.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Rust in professional or open-source contexts
- Experience building customer-facing applications with direct user engagement
- Comfort working across frontend and backend, building complete features
- Ability to attend office in Central London at least 2 days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays)
- Strong opinions on code quality and understanding of trade-offs in shipping vs. perfection
