Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to bridge security operations, platform architecture, and product delivery. You will work cross-functionally with Firmware, Platform, OS, Experience (Client/App), and Cloud teams to embed security throughout the hardware-to-cloud lifecycle.
In this role, you will be an active engineering partner—not just identifying vulnerabilities, but architecting and implementing secure solutions. You will integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines, triage findings, write proof-of-concepts, and collaborate with Feature Teams and Product Owners to design and verify secure fixes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, integrate, and maintain automated security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA, Secret Scanning, SBOM generation) within modern CI/CD pipelines
- Ingest findings from automated tools, internal testing, and external disclosures; distinguish signal from noise and translate alerts into actionable Jira tickets with clear remediation guidance
- Act as technical security authority for Product Owners, feature engineers, and engineering managers to prioritize and implement secure fixes without sacrificing product velocity
- Lead threat modeling sessions and architectural security reviews for components spanning bare-metal firmware, custom Android OS layers, client apps, and cloud backends
- Participate in product security incident response (PSIRT), conduct root-cause analysis, and perform vulnerability research, fuzzing, and reverse engineering on internal targets
About Anduril: Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The company's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with heavy focus on security, systems engineering, or DevSecOps
- Proven track record integrating security automation into build pipelines and collaborating with software teams to patch vulnerabilities
- Proficiency in at least two of: C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, or C#
- Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and cloud environments (AWS or Azure); knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Must be clearance eligible
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results at pace in startup or high-growth environments
- Experience integrating Unity-based applications with external hardware (drones, robotics, sensors, wearables, edge devices)
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming, message passing, or system-to-system communication protocols (gRPC, Protobuf, MQTT, WebSockets, ROS)
- Experience with cross-platform or cross-service integrations and API/SDK design and consumption
- Android development experience below the application layer
- Strong understanding of software-hardware interaction from device drivers and firmware interfaces through application layer
- Professional software development lifecycle experience with version control, CI/CD systems, and automated testing frameworks
