DriveWealth is a global B2B fintech organization on a mission to democratize access to financial markets worldwide. The company provides an API-based platform enabling partners to offer seamless investing and trading experiences across US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and options.
You will join the Post Trade Engineering team as a Senior Software Development Engineer, leading the design, development, and implementation of brokerage systems. This is a hands-on technical role where you will own the architecture and delivery of high-performance, low-latency trading systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own technical architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance, low-latency brokerage systems using Java
- Assess health and performance of software applications and databases, providing technology solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and microservices
- Work with Broker Dealer Operations teams to support and enhance trading and back-end systems for equities, options, and mutual funds
- Define specifications, develop components, modify the existing software stack, and prepare functional specifications
- Analyze service and application performance using various programming languages and tools
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Support applications with understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting
The role is hybrid, with an expectation to come into the Hyderabad office on a cadence set by the hiring manager. DriveWealth emphasizes in-office collaboration to solve complex problems in real-time and maintain accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of Software Engineering experience with expertise in Java
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development and ability to write effective unit and integration tests
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining robust REST APIs and implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, deployed on Kubernetes
- Background in financial technology or capital markets (required)
- Proficiency in NoSQL, SQL, and stored procedures (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting
- Knowledge of Jira, Git, and Jenkins
- Experience with 24/7, highly available architecture
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with Scrum and Agile processes
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Multiple years of fintech experience, specifically in Post Trade, Payments, or SaaS
