BIT (formerly Matrixport) is a global digital asset financial services and infrastructure group headquartered in Singapore, managing over $7 billion in assets and facilitating $7+ billion in monthly trading volume. The company bridges traditional finance and digital assets through regulated financial services and technology, serving institutional and professional investors across Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the UK, US, and Bhutan. As Senior Settlement Officer, you will own daily clearing and settlement operations for US equity options, including exercise, expiration, and exception event handling. You'll manage settlement for margin accounts and securities lending/borrowing transactions, coordinating interest reconciliation and margin calls. The role involves managing Free of Payment (FOP) account transfers, tracking progress with clients and counterparty brokers to ensure timely completion. You will process US equity corporate action events—dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers—ensuring accurate client entitlements. Daily responsibilities include executing end-of-day clearing system procedures, reconciling positions and cash balances to maintain data integrity before market open. You'll independently identify and investigate settlement exceptions, proactively driving SOP updates and workflow improvements to reduce operational risk. Collaboration is key: you'll work closely with Client Services, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams on product launches, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc projects. The role requires 3+ years in US equities clearing and settlement with solid knowledge of DTC/NSCC/OCC frameworks, hands-on FOP transfer and corporate action experience, and strong analytical skills for independent exception resolution. Bilingual English/Chinese communication is essential for liaising with overseas custodians and partners. You must be detail-oriented, accurate under pressure, and comfortable working across time zones. Preferred qualifications include fintech or online broker background, SOP writing experience, and SQL or Excel proficiency for reconciliation and data analysis.
