Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their quality engineering team in Karachi. This role goes beyond traditional QA or developer responsibilities—you'll act as a technical consultant and strategic enabler of quality across the entire software development lifecycle.
You will design and implement robust automation strategies (API, UI, and beyond), leveraging deep understanding of system architecture and data flows to make informed decisions about test coverage. You'll analyze distributed systems and scalable architectures to identify issues at scale, collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed quality upstream in the development process, and drive continuous improvement in development processes and practices.
This is an individual contributor role focused on technical excellence and strategic quality leadership. You'll work on enterprise SaaS applications, contributing to Veeam's mission of protecting over 550,000 customers worldwide with data resilience and security solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of work experience in software test engineering, preferably at an enterprise SaaS organization
- Demonstrated responsibility for application and/or security testing of web applications and/or network applications
- Strong programming skills and experience with automation frameworks
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS is desirable; strong and relevant work experience will be considered as an alternative
- Proactive mindset and passion for quality excellence
