TRIANA Biomedicines, a Greater Boston biotechnology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist in Biology & Translational Sciences to join the Biology and Translational Sciences group. The company is building a leading molecular glue discovery platform to regulate disease targets difficult to address with other modalities, leveraging high-resolution structural insights, AI, computational tools, and bespoke chemical libraries. This role is central to advancing discovery programs from hit validation by establishing mechanistic and translational links between target degradation and disease-relevant immunological outcomes in autoimmune and inflammatory disease contexts. Key Responsibilities: - Assay Development: Design, develop, and implement robust disease-relevant cell-based assays to assess target engagement, protein degradation, and downstream pathway modulation. - Mechanistic Biology: Design and execute experiments connecting target degradation to phenotypic response in primary human immune cells and validated in vivo models of autoimmune disease. - In Vivo Pharmacology: Design, manage, and interpret in vivo studies with external partners in rodent models of autoimmune and inflammatory disease (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis), including PK/PD and efficacy studies; translate target degradation and pharmacodynamic readouts into disease-relevant endpoints. - Data Generation & Interpretation: Identify critical project questions and produce high-quality, actionable datasets guiding stage-appropriate program decisions. - Collaboration and Communication: Distill complex biological data into clear insights; communicate findings effectively to cross-functional partners and leadership; maintain thorough experimental documentation. The ideal candidate is scientifically rigorous, highly accountable, thrives in fast-paced biotech environments, and is motivated by generating decisive data that drives program progression. Requirements: - Ph.D. in Immunology, Immunobiology, or related discipline with 6+ years of post-graduate experience (industry experience preferred), OR B.S./M.S. with 12+ years of industry experience. - Deep in vitro and in vivo pharmacology expertise required. - Experience with immunological assays and autoimmune disease models preferred. - The company welcomes applications from skilled individuals whose qualifications may not fit the criteria outlined above.
