Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at scale. The company is focused on deploying frontier compute faster than anyone else, with teams spanning hardware and software.
The Security team is standing up a comprehensive security program from the ground up to protect the most valuable and targeted artifacts in technology—model weights and frontier AI research running on Fluidstack's infrastructure. The threat surface spans gigawatts of compute across cloud, bare metal, and data center environments globally.
In this role, you will:
- Build Fluidstack's offensive security program from scratch, including methodology, tooling, and engagement cadence
- Run red and purple team operations emulating advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and bare metal GPU deployments
- Conduct penetration testing of critical systems including tenant isolation, bare metal GPU hosts, firmware, BMCs, and data center operational technology (OT)
- Partner with security and engineering teams on AI-specific attack scenarios, including agentic systems and novel AI-enabled risks
- Contribute to AI-assisted offensive testing tools and workflows
- Present findings to technical and executive audiences, translating complex risks into actionable priorities that shape the security roadmap
- Stay at the bleeding edge of AI-enabled offensive operations both inside and outside Fluidstack's environments
The company operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters at civilization scale. You will own security initiatives end-to-end, from bare metal to boardroom, as the company scales across continents.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Years of hands-on experience in red teaming and offensive security operations
- Deep expertise in at least two of: macOS, Linux, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to find novel attack paths and chain vulnerabilities into full compromise
- Experience running adversary simulations against well-defended environments
- Quality code writing in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Ability to write findings that get fixed and help teams prioritize risk
- Close collaboration experience with blue teams
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- State-nexus threat models (frontier AI, government, critical infrastructure)
- Testing AI and ML systems (agentic workflows, model serving)
- Defensive experience (detection engineering, SIEM, EDR)
- Hardware and data center attacks (firmware, BMC, OT/ICS)
- Interest in AI safety and security
