FlixBus is seeking an experienced SAP functional consultant to join the ERP Finance team in Berlin or Munich. You will serve as Flix's in-house SAP expert during the implementation of a new ERP system for FlixTrain, with initial focus on Finance and Procurement modules.
In this role, you will:
- Act as the primary SAP expert during ERP implementation, translating business requirements from Finance, Procurement, and adjacent functions into scalable SAP solutions
- Work closely with external implementation partners through design, build, testing, and cutover phases
- Support data migration, test management, and go-live preparation from Flix's ownership perspective
- Take long-term ownership of the SAP solution post-go-live, managing enhancements, change requests, integrations, and continuous process improvements
- Contribute to building SAP capability within the ERP Finance team through teaching and mentoring
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance and Procurement stakeholders on SAP capabilities
The ERP Finance team is responsible for the platform powering Flix's financial backbone: accounting, controlling, procurement, period close, and integrations connecting to the broader organization. REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience as an SAP Consultant, including 5+ years with S/4HANA
- Strong focus on Finance (FI/CO) and Procurement (MM) modules
- Additional working knowledge of SAP Supply Chain and Asset Management modules
- At least two full end-to-end SAP implementations, ideally in companies of similar size and complexity to Flix
- Solid understanding of core finance and procurement processes: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Purchase-to-Pay
- Experience working with external system integrators and ability to engage with them as an equal partner
- Ability to engage with senior Finance and Procurement stakeholders and translate between business and SAP language
- Structured, pragmatic, delivery-oriented approach with strong communication and facilitation skills
- Based in Germany with fluency in German and English
