Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Robotics Integration Specialist to join the Manufacturing Technology Team. The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team is responsible for rapidly developing and implementing manufacturing materials, technologies, and processes for cutting-edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea, and sea-to-air vehicles, and scaling these products in new manufacturing facilities.
In this role, you will integrate robotic welding systems to drive efficient, rapid, on-time production and start-up of production builds for new maritime vehicles. You will develop experience with automated robotic technologies across multiple platforms for various product lines and integrate solutions with both internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Automate, innovate, and integrate industry-leading robotic applications with manufacturing technology solutions for new welding processes, supporting product and factory development while maintaining digital thread, lean manufacturing principles, and integrated metrology processes
- Create cost- and schedule-effective solutions in product and production system design that meet product needs
- Support design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of production systems at new factory sites, ensuring successful delivery of factories and products
- Provide technical feedback on product processes, materials, and technologies; buy down risk to meet production performance and timelines in new facilities
- Work hands-on to expedite project completion
- Collaborate with product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities and construction, environmental safety & health, and finance to deliver creative and effective production system solutions
The ideal candidate has developed innovative, adaptive, flexible, and creative approaches to design and manufacturing and can develop unified solutions for multiple stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience setting up, integrating, and troubleshooting automated robotic systems to support process technology development, manufacturing engineering, and/or production/process engineering
- Technology development experience in robotics, automation, end effector design, and process improvement
- Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment alongside operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior work with engineering partners and/or contractors to build, improve, or modify automated production systems
- Process improvement experience, including justification of return on investment for process or operational changes
- Application of lean manufacturing and linear flow principles in a production environment
- Metallurgical, welding, automation, and materials development for manufacturing processes in fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and finishing operations
