Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management organization, is seeking a Senior RESP/RDSP Registered Plans Administrator to join its Operations team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Specialty Products, you will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) and Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP) administration, ensuring full compliance with company policies, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC) regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing guidance and quality assurance to RESP/RDSP Registered Plan Administrators
- Serving as the departmental contact for internal and external audits
- Managing all aspects of RESP and RDSP plan administration, including contributions, withdrawals (EAP/PSE/CWD/AIP, DAP, LDAP), transfers, and specialized transactions
- Reviewing documents for accuracy and ensuring transactions meet Service Level Agreements
- Completing regulatory filings and reporting to CRA and ESDC (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Reviewing account setup and government incentive forms
- Managing trustee reporting and ensuring policy adherence
- Participating in projects, industry meetings, year-end reporting, and audits
- Leading team development through onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring of junior administrators
- Driving operational excellence by monitoring processes, identifying automation opportunities, and fostering continuous improvement
Required qualifications: minimum 5 years of registered plans administration experience in a CIRO environment, post-secondary degree in business or financial administration preferred, strong knowledge of CIRO, ESDC, CRA, and Quebec regulations. CSC or IFIC certification and Dataphile experience are assets. You must demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Fluent English required; French is an asset.
