Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Lunar Systems team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Voyager's Quality Management System (QMS), industry standards, and customer-specific requirements across spaceflight and non-spaceflight program portfolios.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will serve as the authority for quality assurance best practices throughout the organization, maintaining a corporate culture emphasizing accountability, discipline, and attention to detail. You will be hands-on, regularly interacting with multiple technical disciplines to ensure product success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, implementing, and improving QMS policies, processes, and procedures that meet business objectives and ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry quality standards
- Managing flight program requirements including deviations, waivers, change management actions, nonconformances (NCRs), and vendor quality management
- Supporting Configuration Item (CI) management, documentation control, and traceability across the program portfolio
- Leading failure analysis processes and collaborating with project teams to assess impact, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborating with engineering teams on quality, risk management, safety, and reliability
- Driving scalable quality assurance practices for high-rate spacecraft production
- Maintaining process monitoring and measurement techniques
- Auditing internal procedures and policies for compliance with customer requirements
- Collaborating on integration and test methods for spaceflight products
- Coordinating with engineering teams on part/material qualification plans and inspection tools
- Engaging in product development to ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory and international standards
The position reports to the Deputy Director of Engineering and is part of the Quality Assurance department. This is an onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA.
Required qualifications:
- B.S. in a technical degree (engineering or science field) from an accredited 4-year college or university
- 8+ years of experience in engineering, research and development, or manufacturing environments
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems or related quality systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures
- Experience working among highly technical teams
Preferred qualifications include leading quality process development, self-motivation with minimal supervision, experience transitioning products from development through production, familiarity with PDM Pro, Atlassian products, and Epsilon3, and experience with electrical and mechanical parts specifications and assemblies.
