You will join as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, building reliable automation for either the data cataloging product or the real-time data platform. This is a hands-on role where you'll develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), translate functional and non-functional requirements into test cases, investigate test failures with developers, and improve test coverage and automation efficiency. You'll use Linux, Git, and AI tools as part of your daily work.
Depending on your product assignment:
- Application and API automation: You'll automate API tests, build and troubleshoot Docker test environments, and set up CI pipelines for application testing.
- Real-time data testing: You'll test data flows from source systems to downstream destinations, validating completeness, correctness, and consistency. You'll build scripts to generate test data and validate results at scale.
You'll work on systems used by real customers in production with direct impact on product and company trajectory. The team is collaborative, curious, and low-ego—people are scrappy, take ownership, and look for ways to make an impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- QA experience with strong focus on hands-on test automation
- Practical experience building and maintaining automated tests with Playwright
- Automation coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python (strong TypeScript/JavaScript required for application automation opening)
- Confidence working in Linux command line, using Git, and turning requirements into effective test cases
- Experience using AI tools to support testing and test automation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS BY OPENING:
- Application and API automation: API testing experience; hands-on Docker skills (building images, running containers, debugging); experience with CI/CD practices and setting up pipelines in Jenkins, Git-based tooling, or similar
- Real-time data testing: 3–6 years of QA experience including hands-on validation of data from source to destination; working knowledge of SQL and JSON; ability to automate data checks using Python or TypeScript/JavaScript; Docker and Kubernetes can be learned on the job
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with data processing or cataloging products, industrial or IoT data, or MQTT, Kafka, and other pub/sub messaging systems
- Kubernetes, performance or load testing, and CI pipeline setup experience (for real-time data opening)
