Ottometric is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join its QA team in Novi Sad, Serbia. In this role, you will drive test automation efforts and ensure the quality and reliability of software products across the development lifecycle.
You will design, develop, and maintain a unified automation framework covering both UI and API testing. Your responsibilities include performing functional, release, regression, and exploratory testing; designing and implementing automated and manual test cases; and refactoring and extending existing test automation frameworks. You will collaborate closely with software development teams and the Product Owner to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure testing activities align with agreed timelines.
Key responsibilities include identifying defects early in the development lifecycle, reporting them clearly, and tracking them through resolution. You will document test results and technical information in Jira, develop and improve testing methodologies and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage. You will also collaborate with QA colleagues to define effective testing strategies and test plans.
This is an in-person, on-site role based in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience
- 3–5+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation development
- Experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar modern test automation frameworks
- Experience with functional, acceptance, performance, stress, and compliance testing
- Experience with Git and source code repositories
- Working knowledge of SQL databases
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- CI/CD integration experience is an advantage
