FlixBus is seeking a Senior Project Manager Finance to lead complex, cross-functional finance and tax transformation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of finance operations, regulatory compliance, and technology implementation, driving projects that modernize invoicing, tax processes, and compliance workflows across the organization's multi-market footprint.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end finance and tax-focused transformation projects, identifying and piloting AI and automation use cases in collaboration with tech and finance teams, and translating regulatory developments (e-invoicing mandates, compliance deadlines) into actionable project triggers. You will analyze tax and invoicing processes, develop structured recommendations to improve compliance and reduce manual work, and convert regulatory requirements into executable implementation plans.
You'll manage project timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication across Finance, Tech, Legal, and external vendors, ensuring on-time delivery and clear escalation protocols. The role requires preparing structured updates and decision materials for senior leadership, acting as a bridge between local entities and central teams, and helping establish scalable project-delivery best practices.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Tax, Law, or Economics, with 5+ years of full-time experience in finance, tax, consulting, or related fields with demonstrable exposure to compliance or regulatory projects. You should have proven project management experience owning timelines, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering in structured or complex environments. Strong analytical skills, comfort in fast-paced entrepreneurial settings, and fluency in English are essential. German or another European language is advantageous.
