Take-Two Interactive, a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment (Rockstar Games, 2K, Private Division, Zynga), is seeking a Senior Agile Project Manager for Data Engineering to join the PMO in Austin, Texas.
In this role, you will lead large, complex data engineering and analytics initiatives while helping teams mature from traditional project delivery toward agile, transparent, and iterative ways of working. You will operate confidently in both traditional and agile delivery models, understanding scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendors, governance, and executive reporting. Critically, you will possess data platform literacy—understanding data stacks, cloud platforms, data pipelines, warehouses, and BI tools—to scope programs accurately and have credible conversations with engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactive problem-solving with data engineering teams, sponsors, and technical leads to remove blockers and drive business outcomes
- Leading large, high-complexity data engineering and analytics initiatives from initiation through delivery, managing enterprise systems and cloud technology integration at program level
- Coordinating work across multiple technical teams, business groups, vendors, and stakeholders; identifying dependencies early and securing commitments
- Partnering with Product Owners on backlog prioritization and helping teams improve visibility and delivery health without unnecessary process overhead
- Managing risk, issue, and dependency tracking across complex, multi-team data programs; surfacing risks early and driving mitigation plans
- Serving as trusted partner to sponsors, technical leads, engineering managers, and PMO leadership; managing competing demands and facilitating trade-off decisions
- Managing headcount allocation, budget variances, and vendor coordination
- Communicating complex data pipelines and delivery details clearly to engineers, managers, sponsors, steering committees, and senior leadership
- Supporting organizational change management, communication planning, production readiness, and operational handoffs

You communicate clearly, organize complex technical work, manage risks, identify critical paths, spot edge cases, review metrics, and keep stakeholders aligned. You continue moving forward in the face of ambiguity, creating enough structure for teams to make decisions and improve how work gets done.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute)
- Minimum 7 years of project or program management experience, with at least 4–5 years specifically in data engineering, data management, or analytics environment
- Data platform literacy: understanding of data stack (cloud platforms like AWS or equivalent, data pipelines, warehouses, BI tools) to successfully manage data-centric projects
- Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional projects with multiple teams, senior stakeholders, technical dependencies, and high business visibility
- Strong project management foundation: scope, schedule, budget, risk management (hands-on RAID log experience), issue management, dependency tracking, stakeholder communications
- Practical understanding of agile delivery methods: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, backlog management, sprint/iteration planning, retrospectives, team metrics, continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools; experience with portfolio-level dependency tracking and documentation
- Strong ability to partner with sponsors and technical leads, navigate ambiguity, manage difficult stakeholders, resolve conflict, and drive decisions without overstepping technical ownership
- Experience with organizational change management, communication planning, implementation coordination, production readiness, and operational handoffs
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, SAFe, or similar certification is a plus, but hands-on delivery experience, technical credibility, business judgment, and strong communication are most important
