Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs for the Strategic Systems line of business. This role reports to the Program Manager, Solid Rocket Motors and is based in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado, with on-site work required. In this role, you will: • Lead execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification, owning and reporting schedule, cost (via earned value management principles), and technical performance from day one. • Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders — driving alignment on requirements, risks, and program status. • Manage the development of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and maintain baseline control through design, development, test, and production phases. • Identify, assess, and drive mitigation of program risks and technical issues; escalate unresolved constraints proactively to program leadership. You will travel up to 25% to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews. Voyager is an innovative space, defense, and national security technology company committed to advancing mission-critical solutions. The company values doers, thinkers, and builders united by purpose and grounded in reality. REQUIREMENTS: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or closely related science or engineering field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering or project management experience, OR 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree. The company values candidates who bring both hands-on technical depth and program execution experience; the balance will vary by candidate. • Demonstrated experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes, including applicable safety, handling, and regulatory requirements governing energetic materials. • Proven ability to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and execute against program baselines in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment. • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). • Must be at least 21 years old and meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses. • Must comply with Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and applicable DoD directives. • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) eligible to obtain required ITAR and EAR authorizations. Preferred Qualifications: • Background in propulsion, energetics, or defense programs, with hands-on experience supporting solid rocket motor or munitions development from concept through fielding. • Strong technical expertise in hardware design, manufacturing, or a closely related discipline within defense, space, or aerospace programs.
