Zscaler is seeking a Senior Professional Services Resident Consultant to join its Professional Services team in Mumbai. This is an on-site role reporting to the Manager of Professional Services.
In this position, you will serve as the strategic technical advisor for enterprise customers, acting as their dedicated "Go-To" expert for all matters related to Zscaler deployments, adoption, and optimization. You will work on extended engagements lasting 6 months to over a year, architecting, configuring, and integrating ZIA, ZPA, and Zero Trust Exchange solutions into complex enterprise environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a dedicated technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers over extended engagements
- Acting as the customer's primary expert for Zscaler deployment, adoption, and optimization
- Architecting, configuring, and integrating ZIA, ZPA, and broader Zero Trust Exchange solutions into complex enterprise environments
- Leading technical discovery, solution design, and migration planning workshops with customer stakeholders
- Collaborating with sales, external partners, and customer teams to provide consultancy and deployment services
You should thrive in ambiguity, act with ownership mentality, excel at problem-solving, collaborate effectively across teams, and maintain a strong growth mindset. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Professional Services Consultant, Network/Security Specialist, Technical Account Manager, Support/Escalation Engineer, or SOC Engineer.
Required qualifications include hands-on experience deploying and operating Zscaler solutions (ZIA and ZPA), strong knowledge of authentication systems (SAML, SSO/IdP integrations), and solid networking and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, PAC files, GRE/IPSec tunnels, proxies, firewalls). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consultative skills are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms; familiarity with hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM); and relevant industry certifications.
